A new surreallustrator.com? ’bout time.
As of right now, there are:
days
hours minutes seconds
until
New surreallustrator.com becomes Live

Lots of work has been done. My vision, almost complete. Some site tweaks remain. And I am very busy at the moment with other things steeling my limited time. But when time permits, “coming soon” will be deleted and I’m sure you’ll know when it is fully up and running. It’s like night and day comparing this site design and the new one. This site as is, maybe a 2 if I’m being generous. The new design is a fully buffered 11… maybe 12. I’ve achieved many solutions to complex initiatives. And made the site a visual experience as if it were its own piece of art, which was the intention. Solving design problems that kept popping up with almost every enhancement proved challenging and 99.999%, well — solved. I wonder if I stretched the structure capabilities built within the new (free) theme templates, farther beyond the original limited expectations, in ways not thought of or realized that were possible by the original theme designers. I would like to delve deep within the experiences had while building the new site from a relatively simple theme to a very complex creation, sometime in a future post, or maybe a podcast.
Some of what you’ll experience within the new website design:

One of two ways to load the new website.
An area you’ll see through the introduction section you can choose to explore or skip and go strait to the galleries entrances.

Another area you’ll see through the introduction section you can choose to explore or skip and go strait to the galleries entrances.
An area near the end of the introduction section with an atmosphere of light and color you can choose to explore or skip and go strait to the galleries entrances.

An entrance to one of the five galleries set up so far.
The new gallery posts design where you can sift through gallery posts by artwork.

The new comments form design where you can not only add a comment but also read previous comments written for the page you’re on.
The new About page that has the same content as this older website, that has been updated to fit within the new website design.

…with much more ready to explore and further ideas in the works.
For now, between today and the fully finished site design published, I have a survey I populated with reasonable questions on what ideas and functions that shoulda, coulda, didn’t become part of the new design — which might be added to an updated version of the new site I would like to further enhance when possible.
For those who really like surveys… I quite think this one will be enjoyable and most likely, nothing like you’ve experienced before. At leased I had fun writing up this survey, even if I don’t get many bites.
If a survey is not your thing, maybe a poll answered would be more reasonable as this information can help direct the future of this website:
